POSITION OVERVIEW

PRECISION is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead their multi-family unit construction company. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in the construction industry, specifically in end-to-end oversight of large projects.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of project operations, including oversight of Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and Office Managers, project financials, scheduling, and client management. Along with these core items, the Chief Operating Officer will own the recruitment process for Project Managers and Superintendents, as well as review vendor, owner, and subcontractor contracts.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide direction and a positive attitude to all personnel assigned to your jobs and in the company.
  • Oversee all Project Managers, including Senior Project Managers, providing assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure timely completion of projects within budget expectations.
  • Review schedules weekly with all Project Managers, and biweekly with PGCC staff.
  • Organize and oversee office staff and Office Manager.
  • Receive all owner contacts and be present at all meetings with owners.
  • Manage project finances, including overhead cost containment, to ensure profitability.
  • Recruit new Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Project and maintain manpower projections, implementing new manpower as needed.
  • Review contracts with owners, subcontractors, vendors, etc., and sign contracts after review.
  • Oversee and work with estimating staff.
  • Enhance PGCC’s reputation as a leader in the multi-family construction marketplace.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the company's project and office managers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management and engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Construction.
  • Experience with software and programs such as Prolog, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly and appropriately prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Proven track record of success in hiring, interviewing and terminating employees.
  • Experience leading and managing a large team of professionals.
  • Strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, teammates, and stakeholders.
